Applegate was originally an all girls secondary school in the 1800’s. Maxwell was the all boys version of Applegate in the area. In the early 1900’s Maxwell and Applegate merged. They stuck with the name Applegate as they stayed on Applegate’s plot of land. They were a successful secondary school up to 1958. In 1958 the parliament changed and they thought the teachers were qualified enough to turn Applegate into a juvenile prison. Applegate is now a successful juvenile prison apposed to secondary school. There is a maximum of 240 prisoners aged 10 to 18.

Things were so easy here, that was until the 16th of September 2006 when the prisoner, Rebecky Jarvis was found dead in her cell. It was suicide, there was no denying that. Soon after Rebecky's death Applegate began to deteriorate, two of Rebecky's best friends, Chrystal Fellows and Jerri Wylde fell out, both blaming each other for Rebecky's death but more importantly, the Warden's [Timothy Strackin] ability to run the prison began to be questioned. Soon inspectors were swarming Applegate looking for flaws and a reason to put Timothy Strackin out of the job.

Four years on Timothy Stracken was sacked after Rebecky Jarvis committed suicide and authorities carried out an investigation and decided that Timothy was not the right man for the job. Once Timothy left, David Cooper then took over. He was a strict man who knew what he was doing and he is still in control today.

However Chrystal Fellows and Jerri Wylde both had children who have ended up in Applegate so Cooper could have met his match. The two teenagers are determined to follow in their mothers footsteps and make a name for themselves. They have come to power in the Ruling Outcasts, a clique that no matter who you are you want to be in this clique. You have to be invited to be in.
